The Cinderloop Mask is fitted around the nose and cheekbones and is shaped to fit your face. It comes in different sizes for children and adults.
I use Evolon®, a microfilament fabric technology made in Germany, for its high particle filtration and performance technology including great breathability, anti-allergen protection and moisture management. Evolon® is the inside layer and a 100% cotton fabric forms the outer layer of the mask. You can read more about Evolon® on the company site.
Note for existing customers:
After researching Evolon® technology in more detail, I've realized that Evolon® works better next to your skin without a lining. The breathability is better and the anti-microbial properties are protective for your skin. The wicking away of sweat is also better without the lining and less air is trapped.
I did an informal survey of customers who had both versions and they all seemed happier with the new masks. I heard that they liked the feeling of space, they were happier without the lining which could cling to their face, and the mask felt a bit lighter in the heat.
Please note: The new mask is as safe as the original version. Removing the lining doesn't alter the mask's filtration ability so protection against airborne particles is the same.

Sizing is determined by the distance between the bridge of your nose and under your chin, so the length of your face not the width. See the measuring guide (scroll down) for details.
Small (available here): Bridge of nose to under chin is <5". Fits children aged approx 5 to 10, also fits very petite women.
Medium: Bridge of nose to under chin is 5.5". Average woman's face, small man's face. Nearly all women will fit medium and about a quarter of men.
Large: Bridge of nose to under chin is 6" or over. Average man's face. Most men will fit large.
XL/Custom option if you think you won't fit a standard size. Please contact me by email.
How to Fit
Instructions are included with each mask order.
Put on mask and adjust the nose wire first so you get a close fit around the nose and cheekbones.
Tighten ear loops by pulling on knotted tie ends. The sides of the mask will gather to create a close fit. Then tie a knot to keep the loop secure.
Try to see where the air is going when you breathe out. As much as possible the air should go through the mask material and not out the top.
Pull the knot around and hide it inside the ear loop channel. It's easier to go through the top.
Machine wash hot or hand wash hot (recommended if you need to wash the mask every night), drip dry. No bleach, no dryer. Please avoid twisting the nose wire when washing the mask. Washing in a mesh bag is recommended for machine washing. I wash mine in the sink in hot water and a bit of detergent and it dries overnight.
Returns or exchanges
For health and safety reasons I cannot accept exchanges or returns on masks while there is a threat of contamination. Please email me before you order if you have questions about fit.
Wearing a Cinderloop mask will not necessarily prevent you from catching Covid-19 and it is not an approved medical grade mask. Following a good mask-wearing protocol is an important factor in keeping yourself safe.
The size chart here is just a guide as the various styles will fit a range of sizes according to how fitted or loose they are.
The bust measurement is the most reliable constant as usually that is where clothes are most fitted.
Knit clothing stretches and drapes to varying degrees so that will also affect the sizing of each style.
